Captain Dale’s passion for the sea is deeply rooted in his adventurous spirit and extensive maritime experience. Born and raised in Durban, South Africa, with the Indian Ocean as his playground, Dale has fostered a love for the ocean from a young age. His two-decade-long yachting career, beginning in the South African Navy, has cultivated a deep knowledge of navigation, vessel management, and crew leadership.
Dale’s hands-on approach, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to safety have seen him rise through the ranks, captaining prestigious yachts such as the 55-meter M/Y LADY S and the 40-meter S/Y HEMISPHERE across the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and South Pacific. His expertise extends beyond the technical aspects of yacht management, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional yachting experience.
Now, as the Captain of NALANI, Dale combines his wealth of experience, passion for the sea, and dedication to providing seamless, unforgettable voyages, whether navigating the idyllic coastlines of the Caribbean or exploring hidden coves in the Mediterranean.
Chef: Rayenari Mora (rotational)
Rayenari has been professionally dedicated to be a Private Chef for the last 9 years. He will delight the guests with his wide range of global local fusion cuisine, Mexican food, Mediterranean, classic French and Italian gastronomy, sushi show, Thai and Korean as well as many other healthy dishes. He loves fresh, natural and local ingredients, always providing for a healthy menu. He will make sure to bring gastronomy on board beyond the expectations.
Chef: Armando Drumont Burgos (rotational)
With 5 years of experience as a Chef on a yacht, and multiple others as private chef for hotels and restaurants, Armando is very skilled and adaptable. Friendly and always optimistic, he brings positivity on board. His great organization and hard-working personality together with education brought him the knowledge of many different cuisines and flexibility to create menus depending on the taste of the guests.
Stewardess: Josefina Delaveau
An expert yacht crew member, Josefina, is dedicated to delivering unparalleled service and hospitality. Fluent in English, Spanish, and having basic Portuguese, she ensures seamless communication. With extensive experience in guest services, housekeeping and event management, she guarantees a memorable experience for every guest. From provisioning, watchkeeping to cocktail service, Josefina excels in every aspect of her role. With a proven track record of excellence and a commitment to teamwork, she is a trusted partner for an unforgettable journey at sea.
Deckhand: Esther de la Rubia Garduño
Esther is a highly skilled and versatile maritime professional with extensive experience in both commercial shipping and yachting. From deckhand to stewardess and crew cook, Esther's roles have encompassed various duties ensuring a seamless experience for crew and guests alike. With a diverse educational background spanning maritime certifications, engineering, and lifeguarding, Esther brings a wealth of expertise to every voyage, instilling confidence and peace of mind in all on board. Beyond her professional pursuits, she finds joy in swimming, skating, and outdoor activities, and has a soft spot for our four-legged friends.
